Nathan Cumberland, who has sustained life-changing injuries when he stepped on an IED in Afghanistan in 2009, knows how important it is to receive additional support during times of physical and mental ill health. Having been on the receiving end of welfare support he is passionate about his role as a Welfare Officer at DMWS and talked about “The Flip Side” with Sarah Goldthorpe, Editor for Soldier Magazine on his transition from Grenadier Guardsman to civilian life.
