Our National Response Service is an independent and confidential helpline available to:

  • Tri-Service Serving Personnel, Reservists, and veteran/ex-service personnel and their families and carers
  • The Merchant Navy
  • NHS staff supporting Armed Forces Community patients (serving, reservists, veterans and their families)

What we can help with

DMWS can support you with welfare, wellbeing, and social care needs via phone. This includes:

  • Emotional and practical support while you or a loved one is on a health care pathway, receiving treatment in hospital, community based health care or at home.
  • Support for social isolation and loneliness
  • Help to find solutions to welfare concerns
  • Supported referrals to other organisations that can help you
