DMWS is an international charity that has been providing medical welfare support to the Armed Forces Community for over 80 years. We are now recruiting a Welfare Officer based in Catterick, Yorkshire.
The responsibilities of the Welfare Officer will include the delivery of welfare support, the development of strong professional networks, and the effective management of referrals relating to the military community, ensuring serving personnel and their families receive effective welfare support at all times.
The role will require an individual who is not only capable of maintaining and developing strong multi-disciplinary relationships but is able to provide an effective service delivery under their own supervision. You will be required to correctly assess the welfare needs of service users with unfaltering professionalism and sensitivity, providing a rapid, solution-driven personal response to support in times of need, or in crisis situations. Support needs are wide and varied, and often high in complexity, the ability to identify and address these complex needs is essential.
