Women In Defence Awards 2016 - DMWS

DMWS Chief Executive Nicky Murdoch attends the Women In Defence Awards shortlisted nominee event.

Women in Defence UK exists for a community of people who wish to promote the value of women in defence and aims to encourage women to succeed authentically, share experience, build networks and also to encourage talent at all levels to join the defence sector.

Nicky who was shortlisted from over 200 nominations across all categories was invited to the shortlisted nominee event which was held on the 9th September 2016 in the Memorial Courtyard, MOD Main Building where Danuta Gray, Chair of the MOD People Committee, presented the awards. 

Nicky said, “What an absolutely excellent day at the Women In Defence Awards 2016. It was a real joy to be in the company of so many talented people who have achieved and given so much. It was an honour to be part of it.”

Women in Defence UK will hold its first awards ceremony on the 13 October 2016 at the Honourable Artillery Company’s headquarters. The Chief of the Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Sir Stuart Peach, has kindly agreed to present the awards for their exceptional achievements. at the Honourable Artillery Company’s Headquarters.  

The category winners and overall Woman of the Year will be announced at the dinner.
