DMWS Awarded Grant for National Framework from The Veterans' Foundation - DMWS

We are proud to announce that the Defence Medical Welfare Service (DMWS) has been awarded a grant from The Veterans’ Foundation to support the delivery of our work for the Armed Forces community.
This 12-month grant will directly contribute to:
- Funding our Welfare Officers who provide one-to-one support to serving personnel, reservists, veterans, and their families
- Maintaining our National Response Service Helpline so no one has to face crisis alone
- Ensuring strong management oversight, supervision, and evaluation to keep services effective and accountable
This funding will allow DMWS to continue to provide welfare support that improves recovery, reduces isolation, and helps beneficiaries navigate health and social challenges with dignity and confidence.
Abby Dryden, CEO of DMWS, says:
“This generous grant from The Veterans’ Foundation is a significant boost for our charity. It will allow us to keep delivering the person-centred, professional support that ensures no member of the Armed Forces community has to face illness, injury, or crisis alone. We are deeply grateful for this partnership and the tangible difference it will make to the lives of those who have served and their families.”
A huge thank you to The Veterans’ Foundation for their continued trust and investment in our mission. Together, we are ensuring our Armed Forces community is never left behind.
