We support NHS Staff and Blue Light Service workers and their immediate families.
We deliver this support via our Emergency Response Service (ERS). We help all frontline service staff including, police, NHS staff and their families.
How do we help via ERS? DMWS welfare officers identify and resolve welfare, wellbeing, and social care needs via the telephone.
The professional and medical welfare telephone service provides:
- Emotional and practical support when a person or their family is on a health care pathway, receiving treatment in hospital, community based health care or at home.
- An individual, their family, carers, and health and social care partners, help to find solutions and provide onward supported referrals to other organisations for services.
- A reduction in delayed transfer of care (Dtoc), a reduction in frequent attendance at A&E, enables independent living, reduces social isolation, improves wellbeing, and provides a coordinated, holistic approach to accessing the right support, in the right place, at the right time,
