The Diploma in Human Welfare and Management is our newly developed L3 Diploma, accredited by the Institute of Welfare and is the only nationally accredited L3 qualification in Welfare in the United Kingdom.
The aim of the course is to provide an extensive experiential and interactive course that covers all aspects of welfare delivery to enable the practitioner to support Service Users in establishing, maintaining, improving and enhancing their wellbeing.
The course is organised into modules and will consist of lectures, discussions and group activities over the 5 days (Mon – Fri approx. 0915 – 1700). Additionally, there is some pre-course e-learning, and students will be expected to give a short presentation to complete the programme.
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a separate 2 day module that is a prerequisite for the award of the Welfare Diploma and can be attended independently of the Diploma. Diploma students must be able to evidence completion of this training no more than 30 months previous, or 6 months post, the diploma start date.
The 2-day MHFA England training course is also provided by DMWS and is routinely offered just before/after a Diploma course. All Diploma students will be eligible for a 10% discount on the 2 day MHFA courses that we run at our Headquarters in Andover. You can find the date of our next available course here.
Please contact us if you would also like to book an MHFA place to ensure that you receive the 10% discount on your MHFA place.
